Vegan Banana cream coconut smoothie and banana lassi

In winter when most fruits are not in season this simple yet delicious banana smoothie is great. These simple variations let you have it your way so its really a 4 in 1 recipe!

2 ripe bananas

1 can of full fat coconut milk

blend in blender.

optional add ons: if you like things sweeter add either another banana, coconut water or a tsp of maple syrup or honey. For the maple syrup version add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon for extra flavor.

or if protein is desired add a handful of blanched sliced almonds or a tsp of nutbutter (also nice with the cinnamon) or a scoop of protein powder and some ice(since the protein powder will add sweetness you wont need sweetener)

or to make it a dairy free banana lassi: add a good pinch of cardamom, crushed ice and a 1/4 cup coconut yogurt. if more sweetness is desired add another banana or coconut water or sweetener. Banana lassis can also be done with 1/2 a tsp of rosewater and with other yogurt and milk, plant based or not, not only with coconut milk and coconut yogurt .

for a treat: add vanilla coconut ice cream and a drop of vanilla
